| | The Health Strategy Group
The Health Strategy Group works together with the community in Broomhouse and North Sighthill to address inequalities and improve the health of local people.
We run a fruit and vegetable co-op on Broomhouse Market, open five mornings a week. We also manage the Broomhouse Counselling Service that is currently funded by the Big Lottery. We strive to work with local people to identify their health needs and develop new projects as a result.
There are always opportunities to volunteer with the project: in the co-op, in the office, or join our management committee. There may also be opportunities to do health promotion work (e.g. help out at local health events or at healthy eating taster sessions in the shop). Call in to the shop for more information.
